Waterloo Bridge

Myra, a fragile ballerina, and Roy, a British army officer, meet and fall in love on the famed bridge during a London air raid in World War I. They are about to marry but Roy is suddenly called to the front. Having lost her job and believing Roy dead in action, Myra turns to prostitution.
